Goals

A client came to us with a unique product — yogaboards designed using their own method, with no equivalent on the market. The product cost about $400, while the closest alternatives cost $250–350.

The client came with a $1,000 budget and a ready-made landing page. Their goal was to test the niche and get first sales in the US market, where about 80% of the yoga audience are women under 55.

Challenges and solutions

We chose Meta Ads as the main channel and split the launch into two stages.

  1. Stage one — B2B For the first two weeks we tested the yoga studio owner segment. Messaging focused on business outcomes: a higher average order value and better studio client retention. We used a quiz funnel to collect leads.

Unfortunately, the result was disappointing: the cost per lead reached about $80 on a $1,000 budget. For a $400 product, the math didn't add up.

  1. Stage two — B2C We changed strategy and switched to direct-to-consumer sales through the landing page. Ad CTR stayed above 4% and the traffic was high-quality, yet there were almost no sales: 1–2 purchases in the first four weeks, and the ads didn't pay off.

To understand where the problem was, we analyzed user behavior in Google Analytics. This research revealed a critical gap: the average time on site was only 4 seconds. People were landing and leaving immediately, so the problem wasn't the ads — it was the landing page.

On our recommendation, the client made changes: added social proof, improved the content and strengthened the product description. After the site was relaunched, the picture changed dramatically.

Results and conclusions

Results

After updating the landing page and relaunching the campaigns:

  • ROAS: 600%
  • Average time on site: increased by 30 seconds
  • Ad CTR: over 4% — consistently high
  • Add-to-carts: increased significantly

Conclusions

Good traffic can't save a weak landing page A CTR above 4% is a strong result that shows the ads work and the audience is relevant. But if people land on the site and leave within 4 seconds, the problem lies in the marketing funnel (in our case, the landing page). It was the analysis of behavioral metrics that pinpointed exactly where the drop-off happened and what needed fixing.

B2B math doesn't always add up With a limited budget and a $400 product, targeting business owners in the US can be unprofitable due to the high cost of reaching entrepreneurs. Switching from B2B to B2C in time saved the budget and helped us find a working approach.

A new product in a competitive market needs social proof The US yoga niche is extremely competitive. Big players sell not just a product, but a whole philosophy through influencers and free courses. For a new brand without recognition, social proof on the landing page is a prerequisite for conversion.

Analytics shows where to look for the problem Without Google Analytics data, we would have kept optimizing ads that were already working well. Comparing behavioral metrics with market benchmarks let us quickly find the real point of failure and fix it.
